3 - Definitions

3.1 Personal data to be processed

We also process different categories of personal data in view of the different purposes. In the case of companies, we process less personal data - here we process in particular data of contact persons of the companies (e.g. name, e-mail address, function in the company, communication data).

If you provide us with data about other persons, we assume that you are authorized to do so and that this data is correct. You automatically confirm this when you provide us with data about these third parties. Please ensure that the third parties concerned have been made aware of this privacy policy.

3.2 Basic data and contact information

Basic data and contact information relate directly to your person and characteristics (e.g. to contact you). In this case, we process the following basic data, for example:

  • Surname, first name

  • Address/address

  • Billing and delivery address

  • E-mail address

  • Phone number

3.3 Contract data

Contract data is information that arises in the context of contract processing, such as

  • Information from the run-up to the conclusion of a contract and information on the conclusion of the contract itself (e.g. on the subject matter of the contract), as well as the information required or used for processing

  • Date, information on the type and duration as well as conditions of the contract in question, data on the termination of the contract

  • Customer history

  • Information on payments and payment modalities, mutual claims

  • Information on complaints and feedback

  • Access data and log-ins

3.4 Communication data

Communication data is data that arises in the context of communication with you. In particular, this includes the following data:

  • Content of all correspondence

  • Information on the type, time and other marginal data of the communication

3.5 Behavioral data

In order to tailor our offers and services to you, we process data about your behavior. Behavioral data is information about your use of our website. We can also use your other interactions with us as behavioral data, and we can link behavioral data with other information. This data then provides us with information about your likely needs and interests. We analyze behavioral data for this purpose.

3.6 Location data and technical data

When you visit our website, technical data is collected. This includes the following data, for example:

  • Location and traffic data

  • IP address of the end device and device ID

  • Information about your device and the operating system of your end device

  • Information about your Internet provider

  • Content accessed on our website

  • Date and time of access to the website

4 - Data protection information

4.1 Purpose of the processing

Where permitted, we process your personal data for various purposes:

  • To fulfill the contract with you and to improve our services

  • For communication (e.g. replying to your messages)

  • For marketing and information purposes

  • To maintain our IT security (in particular to monitor the performance of our website)

  • For internal administration (e.g. in the context of accounting)

  • To comply with legal requirements (e.g. to process complaints or investigate criminal offenses) and assert legal claims (e.g. to defend ourselves against legal claims)

4.2 Categories of recipients

Categories of recipients to whom personal data may be disclosed depending on the respective activity, e.g:

  • Web hosting provider and webmaster

  • IT service providers (if used)

  • Social media services (if used)

  • Trustees, service providers for the fulfillment of legal or tax obligations

  • ...

4.3 Data transmission and forwarding

We may disclose personal data to the above-mentioned recipients (point 4.2). If these service providers process personal data as processors, they are obliged to process personal data exclusively in accordance with our instructions and to take data security measures. Data may then also be disclosed to other recipients, e.g. to courts and authorities in the context of legal proceedings. In individual cases, we may also pass on personal data to other third parties for their own purposes, e.g. if you have given us your consent to do so or if we are legally obliged or entitled to do so.

Recipients of data (e.g. other companies or authorities) are not only in Switzerland. This applies in particular to certain service providers such as Google & Co. These may also be located outside Switzerland and also outside the European Economic Area (EEA), in particular in the USA and also in other countries around the world. For example, we may transfer data to authorities abroad if we are legally obliged to do so. Not all countries outside Switzerland and the EEA have the same level of data protection as in Switzerland. We therefore compensate for the lower level of protection through appropriate contracts, in particular the so-called Standard Contractual Clauses issued by the European Commission and recognized by the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). In certain cases, we may also transfer data without these contracts in accordance with data protection regulations, e.g. if you have consented to a specific disclosure of data or if the disclosure is necessary for the performance of a contract or the enforcement of legal claims or for overriding public interests.

4.4 Duration of data processing

We store and process your personal data for as long as it is necessary for the purpose of processing (for data in connection with contracts, this is usually for the duration of the contractual relationship), as long as we have a legitimate interest in storing the data (e.g. to enforce legal claims or to ensure IT security) and as long as data is subject to a statutory retention obligation (e.g. a ten-year retention period applies to certain data). We destroy or anonymize your personal data after the storage or processing period has expired, provided that no legal or contractual obligations prohibit this.

5 - Cookies and web analytics service

5.1 Cookies

We use tracking technologies ("cookies") on the website to learn more about the way in which a user interacts with the website and to ensure the functionality of the website. Cookies are small text files that are either only stored for the duration of the visit to the website (so-called "session cookies") or longer and are only deleted after a limited period of time, e.g. to recognize returning users.

On the one hand, we use session cookies, which are automatically deleted when the website is closed and which enable the server to establish a stable connection to the user (so that, for example, the contents of a shopping basket are not lost) as long as the user is surfing the website. On the other hand, permanent cookies are used, which are only deleted after a period of time defined for each website. Persistent cookies are used to remember the user's preferences on the website and remain on the user's desktop or internet-enabled device even after the browser is closed or the device is restarted. We use these cookies to analyze user behavior and to determine visit patterns so that website functionality can be improved for all users.

Cookies do not cause any damage and do not contain viruses. If the user nevertheless does not wish cookies to be set, the browser can be set so that cookies are only created with the user's consent or are generally rejected. However, it should be noted that if the user rejects cookies on the website, some functions on the website may be restricted or unavailable.

You can find help on cookie management for common browsers here:

5.2 Web and newsletter analysis

We use various analysis tools and re-targeting technologies to obtain information about the use of our website, to improve our Internet offering and to be able to address you with advertising on third-party websites or on social media.

These tools are provided by third-party providers. As a rule, the information collected for this purpose about the use of a website is transmitted to the server of the third-party provider through the use of cookies or similar technologies. Depending on the third-party provider, these servers may be located abroad.

The data is usually transmitted by shortening the IP addresses, which prevents the identification of individual end devices. This information is only transmitted by third-party providers on the basis of legal regulations or as part of order data processing.

5.3 Google and Squarespace Analytics

The website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on the user's end device and enable the use of the website to be analyzed. The information generated by cookies about the use of the website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, the IP address of Google users within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area will be shortened beforehand. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website for the purpose of evaluating the use of the website by users, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by the user's browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. Users may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on their browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. Users can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie (incl. IP address) and from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link(https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de)

Further information on terms of use and data protection can be found at https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or at https://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html.

The web hosting provider (Squarespace Ireland Limited) also collects personal data that serves as the basis for our website analytics. This includes:

  • Information about your browser, your network and your device

  • Websites that you have accessed before visiting this website

  • Your IP address

  • This information may also include details about your use of this website, including:

  • Clicks

  • Internal links

  • Visited pages

  • Scroll

  • Search processes

  • Timestamp

6 - Google Maps

On our website we use Google Maps (API) from Google Inc (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; responsible for Europe is Google Limited Ireland, "Google"). Google Maps is a web service for displaying interactive (land) maps in order to visualize geographical information. By using this service, our location is shown to you and any directions are made easier. Information about your use of our website (such as your IP address) is transmitted to Google servers in the USA and stored there as soon as you access the subpages in which the Google Maps map is integrated. This takes place regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account. If you do not wish your data to be associated with your Google profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data (even for users who are not logged in) as usage profiles and analyzes them. For data transfers to the USA, Google has undertaken to sign and comply with the EU standard contractual clauses.

Further information can be found in the privacy policies of Google and Google Maps: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://google.com/help/terms_maps.

7 - Integration of external online and social media services

Social media plug-ins from third-party providers are used on our website. The plug-ins can be recognized by the logo of the respective social network. The plug-ins allow you to interact with the social networks and other users. We use the following plug-ins on our website:

  • Facebook / Instagram

When you visit our website, your browser establishes a direct connection to the third-party provider's servers. The content of the plug-in (e.g. Facebook) is transmitted directly to your browser by the respective third-party provider and integrated into the page.

The data transfer for the display of content (e.g. publications on Facebook) takes place regardless of whether you have an account with the third-party provider and are logged in there. If you are logged in with the third-party provider, your data collected by us will also be assigned directly to your existing account with the third-party provider. If you activate the plug-ins, the information will also be published on the social network and displayed to your contacts there. The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by the third-party providers as well as your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy can be found in the third-party providers' data protection notices. The third-party provider stores the data collected about you as usage profiles and uses these for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or the needs-based design of its website. Such an evaluation is also carried out in particular for users who are not logged in to display needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. If you wish to prevent the third-party providers from assigning the data collected via our website to your personal profile in the respective social network, you must log out of the respective social network before visiting our website.

You can also completely prevent the plug-ins from loading with specialized add-ons for your browser, such as "Ghostery"(https://www.ghostery.com) or "NoScript"(http://noscript.net).

An overview of the Facebook plug-ins from Facebook (see Facebook pixel) can be found here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins. For more information, please consult Facebook's privacy policy at https://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php.

8 - Newsletter

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an e-mail address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. We use the so-called double opt-in procedure to ensure that the newsletter is sent with your consent. This involves the potential recipient being added to a mailing list. The user then receives a confirmation e-mail to confirm the registration in a legally secure manner. The address will only be actively included in the mailing list if confirmation is given. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and offers. You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and its use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the "Unsubscribe" link in the newsletter.

When you submit information to this website via a web form, we collect the data requested in the web form in order to track and respond to your request. In addition, Stripe uses cookies to carry out the payment process and to ensure the security of the payment process.

We would like to point out that when using Stripe, user data may be processed outside the European Union. This may result in risks for users because, for example, it could make it more difficult to enforce users' rights.

For a detailed description of the respective forms of processing carried out by Stripe and the possibilities of objection, we refer to the data protection declarations and information provided by Stripe at https://stripe.com/de/privacy.
